Last weekend we went to Grammie & Papa's lake house on Pomme de Terre. They graciously allowed us to have our friends come and visit for the weekend, while they babysat Mack. Fun was had by all! Prior to our kid-free weekend, we enjoyed the lake with Mack. He was especially interested in taking off his diaper, and driving the boat, enjoy!
It's been a couple of weeks since my last post, and my how quickly Mack has grown! He is now confidently walking absolutely everywhere, hardly falling, and is off the bottle! These pictures reflect an afternoon this week, where he was particularly ornery waking up from a nap. Another one of Mack's favorite things is brushing his teeth. He is so excited whenever I get his toothbrush out, and loves walking around with it. Finally, helping me load the dishwasher (or rather pull dishes out) is one of Mack's favorite chores around the house!
This weekend Mack was a lake baby! Ethan, Mack, Piper and I all headed down to my Dad's place on Bull Shoals to celebrate the 4th of July. How different it was this year, comparing Mack as a 1-yr-old, to him last year as a newborn. My cousin Anna joined us, as well as our friends Angela and Ryan, with their little one Kellan. Kel Kel, (as Angela calls him) is the funniest little guy, and it was really fun to watch Mack and him interact! He is just two months older than Mack, and walking everywhere, as well as not using a bottle or pacifier. Since we have returned from the lake, Mack has pretty much given up crawling, however the bottle is still going to take some time! I am not worried about the passie, because he goes to sleep and rides in the car so well with it. If he's 3 and still has it, oh well! Here are some pics from the weekend, happy 4th!
