Sesame Street Live!

Last weekend we took the boys to see Sesame Street Live at the renovated Peabody Opera House in St. Louis.  It was Mack's first show, and he was pretty good for the duration.  About 15 minutes in, he looked at Ethan and said, "I'm done watching Elmo Daddy."  While it was kind of funny, we were able to keep him engaged for the duration of the show.  In hindsight, maybe when he is 3 1/2 he will enjoy it more.  Mitchell on the other hand, was a perfect baby, and amazed by all of the colors.  It is hard to find things to do in this wintry weather, so any chance we have to take the boys somewhere kid friendly indoors, we do.  Here are some of the latest pictures I love.

New Year, New Routine

                                                   (Amazed by the Thomas booth)

(Being a good boy while we wait)

(Cuties Crossing!)

(Getting so big at 3 1/2 months!)

(Having fun with all the trains)

This Christmas we had a wonderful time with not only our Mack to enjoy, but also our little Mitchell!  I can't believe he's almost 3 1/2 months.  This week I went back to work, and to my pleasant surprise, everyone adjusted very well.  Mack started preschool just after the new year, and Mitchell joined him at the same facility this week.  While it's hard to be away from them, my students and staff members were very welcoming to me on my return, so that made it a lot easier!  I wanted to get pictures up from Christmas, but there were so many to get through I didn't have a chance.  This weekend, Ethan and I took the boys to the model train convention downtown.  Mack was enthralled, and with Thomas paraphernalia everywhere, he was in heaven.  You can see Mitch is growing like a weed, he's already into 6 month clothes!  Enjoy!

Breakfast with Santa

This past weekend was Breakfast with Santa at our church.  I did registration again this year, and the event was a wonderful success!  Mack was good for Santa, as he was last year.  It was fun to go to the event because we only had Mack last year, and this year we had little Mitchell with us as well.  Some of the people we saw after a year hadn't known we were expecting!  Mack is beginning to understand about Santa, and says daily he is coming to bring him presents.  Grandma Mady, Nate, Aunt Leslie and Paul came to visit this weekend.  It was nice to have them at the event.  Here are some pictures from the day!

Many many updates

                                                                    (6 weeks)

(7 weeks, this could be Ethan)
(8 weeks)

I'm way way way behind on the blogging, but with the holidays here and two little ones to take care of, I have less time to brag about them online ha!  I thought I would post a few pictures from the past few weeks as I did not get any pictures over Thanksgiving.  We did manage to take a family picture by the Christmas tree, so I am happy we at least have that to send out in our holiday cards.  Here are Mitchell's weekly updates, and a few candid shots of Mack I took today, that I just couldn't resist sharing.  Enjoy!

5 weeks old!

Mitchell is 5 weeks old, time is flying.  I cannot believe it will already be Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks!  Last weekend we made our first trip as a family of 4 to Kansas City.  Both boys were great travelers, and we had a wonderful time at our friends the Beerman's home.  Luckily Aunt Beck is in Columbia, so we had a perfect place to stop and break up the trip!  I'd love to have a picture of Mack in this weeks post, but I can't get my little stinker to sit still for long enough!

Happy Halloween, and Happy 1 month baby Mitch!

Well I cannot believe it has been 1 year since last Halloween, and now we have two 2 little ones to celebrate with!  Mack was a darling cowboy, although he decided after a few pictures he was done wearing his hat.  He does love his cowboy boots though, and wore them the next morning over his sleeper, all around the house!  Mitchell was our perfect little pumpkin while being held or fed, but posing for pictures with Mack was a problem.  The one attached is the best I was able to get.  This year Mack had fun trick-or-treating, but I'm not sure he really got the concept.  Luckily he was happy to hand over his candy so I can monitor how much he's eating.  We cannot believe Mitchell is already a month old, time is flying by.  He is overall a pretty good baby, we just anxiously await those nights to come in which he's sleeping a little longer than 4 hours at a time.  However, compared to Mack's sleeping habits as an infant I should not complain.  Enjoy the pics!

Mack and Mitch (2 weeks old)

So I'm a week behind on updating this, but here are some pictures of my boys over the last two weeks.  I have some cute ones from the past weekend and Aunt Leslie and Grandma Mady's visit, so I will put those on for the next post.  Little Mitchell is thriving, he is now close to 9 pounds, and eats all the time!  He is sleeping 4 hours at a time at night, so the doctor says we are lucky parents!  Mack has started acknowledging Mitchell as baby brother this week, so that's been very encouraging to see.  I'm in heaven taking care of our baby, and Mack's personality is so fun to watch.  I haven't worked my way up to doing anything with the 2 of them alone yet, but I will soon!
