Breakfast with Santa

I meant to update on Halloween, but have been so busy lately with school, work and of course Mack! Our little guy was the cutest bat you've ever seen on Halloween, and Ethan and I now have a favorite new nickname for him, "Mackman!" The weekend before Halloween we had my cousins Robyn and Diedre over with their families for dinner. I really wanted to get a picture of all the kiddos, but it was a little hectic. I did however have a chance to take the cutest picture of Robyn's son Graham (who is 2 months younger than Mack), and Mack playing a tune for us on the piano. Here's some pictures showing what we've been up to this fall!

This past weekend we were in Albany for Mady and Nate's wedding. This is also the first time Mady will be gracing our blog! We had a wonderful family weekend in Albany. This was also the second time Grandpa Felix got to see Mack, so he was happy to see how Mack had changed and grown. Our weekend began with a play date for Mack and Gavin (Leslie's best friend Amy's nephew), and ended with the wedding on Saturday night. Mady and Nate were surrounded by each of their children, and Mack of course. Mack handled it pretty well, I was thankful there was no chuppah because he might have torn it down! These pictures reflect our weekend.
It's been a few weeks since my last post, so I just wanted to share these adorable pictures of Mack and Piper playing. They really have a great time together, she is such a good big sister. However, Mack is going through a phase of pulling her tail, so I have to tell him "no" on that. In these pictures they were playing very nicely together!
There are a couple of pictures I wanted to address in this post, one of which being Mack's oh-so-curly hair, that we love! He has Ethan's hair exactly, even for the light color. I took a look at some of Daddy's baby pictures, and Mack really resembles him! Of course he looks like me as well, with his round face and brown eyes! This weekend we had a great time. On Friday night we went to downtown Crystal City with Angela, Ryan and Kellan. Our little guys had a great time, as did their parents! The two of them are just so adorable together, we are looking forward to lots more playdates! Mack was really a joy all weekend, he is imitating every sound you make. Ethan's friend was over on Saturday and showed Mack all kinds of animal sounds on his i-phone. Before we knew it, our little prodigy was pushing the animal faces himself AND imitating the sounds they made! Here are some pics from the weekend, enjoy!

Finally the heat has broken, and it feels amazing! This Labor Day weekend we had so much family fun. We attended the baptism of one of my student's little sister, had our annual block party (planned by me thank-you-very-much!), and squeezed in a visit to Kirkwood park! Mack is really wanting to run and play with all the kids he sees now, even though his little legs don't always let him catch up. These pictures are from our park outing, and Mack crashing on the way home from the baptism. Sadly, sometimes the only time I get to snuggle him is when he's sleeping.
I am really good about my posts these last two weeks! This weekend Mack and I got together with our friends, Jackie, Brittani, Shelly, Tracey, and their little ones; Jackson, Hudsen & Henley, Bo & Emily, and Will. Mack just loves the playground and is fearless about the slide, climbing, jumping, you-name-it! I got a work-out too just following him around, and trying to keep him from getting hurt of course!
