Breakfast with Santa

(I'm the king of the world!)

Today we went to Breakfast with Santa at Mary Queen of Peace. This event is held all over the St. Louis area at different churches, clubs etc. This year I helped plan the event at Mary Queen and volunteered to handle registration. Little did I know that was going to be for about 350 people, 150 of which just came in this past week! All in all it wasn't bad, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the event. I will have to post the Santa pics after I get them from the photographer. Mack had a ball, and loved following the other little boys around, yelling with them, and (once his father let him do it), climb the bleachers. He thinks he is sooo big. Here are some pictures from our day!

Well after almost 2 years of blogging, I finally figured out how to put captions underneath my photos. Now lets see, how long will it take me to figure out how to upload a video?? I am a couple of weeks behind in this posting, but what can I say? It's the holidays! Mack spent his 2nd Thanksgiving in Albany again this year, and it was amazing to see how much he has grown in that time! Ethan took Mack to his alma mater to meet his former baseball coach. Mack was a hit at Shaker High! After celebrating the holiday, Aunt Avery came up for a visit from NYC, so after being doted on by the Silverman side of the family for a few days, Mack was attended by his two favorite aunts! Here are some pictures reflecting our weekend!

Fall Fun

I meant to update on Halloween, but have been so busy lately with school, work and of course Mack! Our little guy was the cutest bat you've ever seen on Halloween, and Ethan and I now have a favorite new nickname for him, "Mackman!" The weekend before Halloween we had my cousins Robyn and Diedre over with their families for dinner. I really wanted to get a picture of all the kiddos, but it was a little hectic. I did however have a chance to take the cutest picture of Robyn's son Graham (who is 2 months younger than Mack), and Mack playing a tune for us on the piano. Here's some pictures showing what we've been up to this fall!

Mazel Tov!

This past weekend we were in Albany for Mady and Nate's wedding. This is also the first time Mady will be gracing our blog! We had a wonderful family weekend in Albany. This was also the second time Grandpa Felix got to see Mack, so he was happy to see how Mack had changed and grown. Our weekend began with a play date for Mack and Gavin (Leslie's best friend Amy's nephew), and ended with the wedding on Saturday night. Mady and Nate were surrounded by each of their children, and Mack of course. Mack handled it pretty well, I was thankful there was no chuppah because he might have torn it down! These pictures reflect our weekend.

Family Visit

We recently had a visit from Grammie & Papa and GB to our house. When they arrived on Sunday, I had to go to church and sing for our parish's 90th anniversary. It was nice to have everyone there for mass, as well as Brat Fest that followed the service. Mack saw a horse for the very first time, and was pretty excited, but then a little scared. Later they kept little Mack for me while I was at school. Mack was having fun with all the attention from 3 adults that week. These pictures show our weekend.

Mack and Piper

It's been a few weeks since my last post, so I just wanted to share these adorable pictures of Mack and Piper playing. They really have a great time together, she is such a good big sister. However, Mack is going through a phase of pulling her tail, so I have to tell him "no" on that. In these pictures they were playing very nicely together!

Curly top!

There are a couple of pictures I wanted to address in this post, one of which being Mack's oh-so-curly hair, that we love! He has Ethan's hair exactly, even for the light color. I took a look at some of Daddy's baby pictures, and Mack really resembles him! Of course he looks like me as well, with his round face and brown eyes! This weekend we had a great time. On Friday night we went to downtown Crystal City with Angela, Ryan and Kellan. Our little guys had a great time, as did their parents! The two of them are just so adorable together, we are looking forward to lots more playdates! Mack was really a joy all weekend, he is imitating every sound you make. Ethan's friend was over on Saturday and showed Mack all kinds of animal sounds on his i-phone. Before we knew it, our little prodigy was pushing the animal faces himself AND imitating the sounds they made! Here are some pics from the weekend, enjoy!

Swingin' at the park

Finally the heat has broken, and it feels amazing! This Labor Day weekend we had so much family fun. We attended the baptism of one of my student's little sister, had our annual block party (planned by me thank-you-very-much!), and squeezed in a visit to Kirkwood park! Mack is really wanting to run and play with all the kids he sees now, even though his little legs don't always let him catch up. These pictures are from our park outing, and Mack crashing on the way home from the baptism. Sadly, sometimes the only time I get to snuggle him is when he's sleeping.

Playdate!

I am really good about my posts these last two weeks! This weekend Mack and I got together with our friends, Jackie, Brittani, Shelly, Tracey, and their little ones; Jackson, Hudsen & Henley, Bo & Emily, and Will. Mack just loves the playground and is fearless about the slide, climbing, jumping, you-name-it! I got a work-out too just following him around, and trying to keep him from getting hurt of course!
